Members of China's 34th Antarctic expedition conduct a marine survey on the research icebreaker Xuelong in the Ross Sea on Jan. 28, 2018. Xuelong set sail from Shanghai on Nov. 8, 2017, beginning the country's 34th Antarctic expedition. A team of more than 300 will make the 164-day trip of 37,000 nautical miles.
