Xicheng high-speed railway to be put into operation within 2017

The Xicheng high-speed railway linking Xi'an and Chengdu is estimated to be put into operation within this year.

Aerial photo taken on March 30, 2017 shows a bridge of the Xicheng high-speed railway across the Jialing River in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The Xicheng high-speed railway linking Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province and Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, is estimated to be put into operation within this year. It will shorten the Xi'an-Chengdu journey time from 16 hours to 3 hours.[Photo/Xinhua]
