By Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, Prime Minister of Mongolia
It is a great pleasure for me to pay an official visit to the beautiful country of China, at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, not long after the successful conclusion of its two sessions meetings.
The international community carefully observed and followed the outcomes of the two sessions. I strongly believe that the adoption of important initiatives presented by Chinese President Xi Jinping, including the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and China's three-stage development program, will make an important contribution to the further prosperity and sustainable development of our friendly neighbor, China.
Following the rapid development and impressive growth of China in recent years, there is no doubt that the hardworking Chinese people, under the leadership of the State and the Party, will successfully implement and realize the "Two Centenary Goals" and "Chinese Dream" of national rejuvenation.
Neighboring with China, the world's second-largest economy which produces more than 30 percent of the world's economic growth, brings us new opportunities and favorable conditions to develop win-win cooperation.
Mongolia and China elevated bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2014 and today we are greatly encouraged by our increased bilateral relations and comprehensive cooperation.
On the basis of mutual respect for each other's core interests, both sides are committed to boosting the partnership, to expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and to maintaining close collaboration for strengthening the mutual trust and friendship between our two peoples.
During his visit to Mongolia in 2014, President Xi said "China is willing to offer opportunities and room to Mongolia and other neighbors for common development. Welcome aboard China's train of development." and we in Mongolia welcome this invitation and are willing to join the long path to shared development.
It is our belief that the close ties, mutual trust and understanding and beneficial and equal cooperation between Mongolia and China will not only meet the interests of our two peoples, but will also make an important contribution to regional peace and prosperity.
The Belt and Road, a significant international development initiative proposed by President Xi, is shaping a new form of connectivity and cooperation among nations as an inclusive cooperative model for the new century.
Mongolia has strongly supported the Belt and Road Initiative from the beginning and is keen to actively collaborate with our Chinese friends on multiple projects.
It is my pleasure to note that humanitarian exchanges and people-to-people ties between Mongolia and China are expanding, and cooperation in the areas of culture, arts, education, sciences, tourism, health and media is enriching and enhancing.
I would like to take this opportunity to extend to the Chinese people, through China Daily, my best wishes for continued prosperity, progress, happiness and wellbeing.
May the friendly and good-neighborly relationship and mutually beneficial cooperation between Mongolia and China flourish and be further enhanced in the years to come.
