China adheres to the concept of "partnership but nonalignment, dialogue but non-antagonism," and is committed to constructing a new type of international relations with win-win cooperation as the core, said China's Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong at a seminar on South Asia security and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) hosted by the Islamabad Policy Research Institute in Islamabad.

Sun said the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has accumulated valuable experience from the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative not only in Pakistan but also in other countries.

Nineteen projects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor are under construction, with a total investment of US$19 billion. These projects create thousands of jobs for locals.

Sun said the Chinese enterprises attach importance to the cultivation of young talents, actively offering them training opportunities. China and Pakistan adhere to a principle of peaceful development, and the economic corridor reflects the Silk Road spirit: peace, cooperation, open, inclusiveness, mutual learning and common prosperity.

Ahsan Iqbal, minister for the interior and minister for planning, development and reforms, said Pakistan should learn from China about its development model, constantly developing its economy and improving people's livelihoods.
