Guo welcomed the U.S. media representatives from the National Public Radio, Bloomberg News, the Wall Street Journal, and the Cook Political Report. He said he hopes this visit can give the U.S. a more direct and in-depth understanding of China's achievements in the past 40 years of reform and opening up, and boost the mutual understanding between the two peoples as well as the pragmatic cooperation between Chinese and U.S. media organizations.

The two sides also discussed topics such as China-U.S relations.
