Jiang Jianguo, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and minister of the State Council Information Office of China, met with a delegation led by Stephen A. Orlins, president of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, in Beijing on March 27.

Jiang briefed the guests on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the guiding principles of the 19th CPC National Congress and this year's "two sessions" -- the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. They held discussions on strengthening communication between U.S. and Chinese think tanks as well as mutual trust and cooperation, and creating a sound environment to carry forward healthy and stable China-U.S. relations. They also exchanged views on issues of common concern such as telling Chinese stories well and better presenting China to the world.
