Jiang Jianguo, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and minister of the State Council Information Office, met with a delegation headed by Alistair Michie, secretary general of the British East Asia Council, on Sept. 11 in Beijing.

The two discussed various topics including the prospects on China-U.K. cooperation planned by leaders of both countries when President Xi Jinping visited the U.K. in 2015, continuing pushing forward the global comprehensive strategic partnership for the 21st century between China and the U.K., embracing the second golden decade of China-U.K. relations, and further strengthening exchanges and cooperation in media entities and think tanks.

Zhang Fuhai, head of China International Publishing Group, and Zhang Hongbin, deputy head of the International Liaison Bureau of China's State Council Information Office, also attended the meeting.
