Premier Li says China's mega-market to provide important development opportunities for Australia, world

Chinese Premier Li Qiang said in Canberra on Monday that China is advancing Chinese modernization in all respects through high-quality development, and its mega-market will continuously unleash new demands and growth vitality, which will provide important development opportunities for Australia and the rest of the world.

Li made the remarks during his meeting with Governor-General of Australia David Hurley.

While meeting with Hurley, Li first conveyed cordial greetings from President Xi Jinping to him.

With the joint efforts of both sides, China-Australia relations have returned to the right track of steady and sound development, showing a positive momentum of continuous improvement, Li said.

China is willing to work with Australia to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, adhering to mutual respect, equality, and mutually beneficial cooperation to further consolidate and develop the current positive momentum, making the China-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership more mature, stable, and fruitful, thus better benefiting the people of both countries and contributing positively to regional and global peace, stability, and prosperity, Li said.

Li pointed out that the economies of China and Australia are highly complementary, with their cooperation enjoying ample momentum, huge potential, and fruitful results. That has brought tangible benefits to people of both sides.

Li expressed the willingness of China to work together with Australia to set win-win cooperation as the mainstream of bilateral relations.

For his part, Hurley asked Li to convey his sincere greetings to President Xi.

Australia and China have engaged in extensive cooperation, and their bilateral ties are brimming with vitality, said Hurley.

He said that Australia stands ready to work with China to boost dialogue and cooperation in areas like economy and trade as well as people-to-people and cultural exchanges, jointly safeguard peace and stability in the region and the world, and push forward the stable and sound development of the Australia-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
