The State Council Information Office held a New Year reception at the National Museum of China on Thursday, with more than 500 Chinese and foreign guests in attendance.

The attendees included members of Chinese and foreign media organizations, spokespersons of central and state organs, foreign diplomats, representatives of international organizations, and think tank experts and scholars.

Guests at the reception said that China has focused on promoting high-quality development and advanced high-level opening up in an open and inclusive manner this year. It has maintained steady and sustainable growth, and promoted quality and efficient development. The country has also made progress in promoting integrated urban-rural development and improving the well-being of its people, contributing to global stability and development.

They said that the international community has paid close attention to China's development with a keen interest in gaining a better understanding of China. The guests also expressed their willingness to introduce China to the world, and enhance mutual understanding and cooperation between China and other countries.
