Speaking at the inaugural event, Guo said that the new program is an innovative approach to tell China’s stories to the world and make China’s voice better heard. “It is also a new action to present China’s new look in the new era.”

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, pledged to usher in a new era in building socialism with Chinese characteristics at the 19th National Congress of the CPC last year.

During the Vision China inaugural event, U.S. specialist on China Robert Lawrence Kuhn, China Daily writer Andrew Moody, and China Global Television Network host Liu Xin shared their thoughts on China's new era with an audience of more than 500 from home and abroad.

The Vision China talks will focus on Chinese topics that have global significance and invite distinguished speakers for speeches and interactions with audiences, according to its organizers.
