Li Shulei, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), called for people working in publicity and ideological departments to prioritize studying, publicizing, and implementing the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress, and work to promote these principles among the public.

Li, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks during his inspection tour in eastern China's Zhejiang province from Nov. 8 to 10.

During his tour, Li visited villages, communities, as well as publicity and cultural departments in Jiaxing, Huzhou, and Hangzhou, and conducted in-depth exchanges with local officials, scholars, and the general public on such topics as promoting the guiding principles of the Party congress, cultural rejuvenation in rural areas, and the protection of cultural heritages.

Li urged them to acquire a deep understanding of the decisive significance of the establishment of both Comrade Xi Jinping's core position on the CPC Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, as well as the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

Li also encouraged efforts to bolster confidence in Chinese culture, and stimulate cultural creativity, innovation, and dynamism for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
