Huang Kunming, a senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official, has called for efforts to promote exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations to seize development opportunities and meet common challenges.

Huang, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks on Friday while addressing the International Academic Forum in China 2022.

He stressed efforts to treat each other and respect each other equally, and strengthen mutual learning, exchanges, and interactions.

He also highlighted the need to champion the vision of a community with a shared future for humanity and promote the shared human values of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy, and freedom.

The forum themed "Civilizations Amid Profound Changes: China and the World" is held online and offline and has over 100 participating scholars from China and abroad.
