A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Tuesday called for relevant authorities to further develop civilization practice centers in the new era on the basis of summarizing experience from pilot practices.
Civilization practice centers are based on the existing grassroots public service resources at the county, township and village levels, with the aim to cultivate mainstream values and activate cultural life with various voluntary activities.
Huang Kunming made the remarks in Beijing during a teleconference on the work. He is a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.
He said that pilot efforts in this regard have yielded plentiful achievements and experience, and played important roles in enhancing political guidance, meeting people's needs, strengthening Party-people relations, and cultivating virtuous social practices.
He called for relevant authorities to guide and serve the people with great efforts and pool resources to further develop civilization practice centers in both urban and rural areas.
