Hong Kong hosts symposium on publication of Xi's books

The publication of the traditional Chinese version of Chinese President Xi Jinping's three books was discussed Wednesday at a symposium in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

The publication of the traditional Chinese version of Chinese President Xi Jinping's three books was discussed Wednesday at a symposium in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

"Zhejiang, China: A New Vision for Development" expounds on Xi's theoretical explorations and innovative practices on socialism with Chinese characteristics when he worked as a leading official in Zhejiang Province.

"The Belt and Road Initiative" contains 42 articles compiled from Xi's public speeches, remarks and articles on the subject between September 2013 and July 2018.

"On Committing to Deepening Reform in All Areas" contains Xi's 72 important articles on the subject.

Lu Xinning, deputy head of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, said that these three books systematically embody Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

Lu called on people in Hong Kong and Macao to fully engage in the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as well as the country's overall development, to jointly create a better future.

Officials, publishers and scholars attended the symposium.
