A senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official has stressed patriotic passion and Chinese ethos in driving the people forward and inspiring them to make new achievements in the new era.

Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the committee's publicity department, made the remarks during an inspection tour to rural areas and grassroots-level publicity and cultural units in east China's Zhejiang Province from Friday to Saturday.

Huang called for great efforts to carry forward the spirit of patriotism, struggle and devotion, and inspire the people to have full confidence in socialism with Chinese characteristics and carry on the fighting spirit into the new era.

He also stressed efforts on guiding farmers to rely on diligence and wisdom to make lives happier.
