The State Council Information Office of China (SCIO) will invite officials from southwest China's Chongqing municipality to brief the media about the city's endeavor to break new grounds to push forward the country's strategy of developing the western region to a new stage at 10 a.m. on Sept. 11, 2019. They include:

Tang Liangzhi, deputy secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and mayor of Chongqing;

Zhang Ming, head of the Publicity Department and a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee.

An exhibition on Chongqing municipality will be held in the press conference hall.
