Intl students embrace Dragon Boat Festival by Grand Canal in Beijing

Editor's note: The Dragon Boat Festival falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, observed this year on June 19.

On June 18, a cultural experience event was held along the Grand Canal in Beijing's Chaoyang district, bringing together more than 40 international students from 20 countries.

Participants explored traditional customs, including making zongzi (sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves), wearing five-colored bracelets, crafting dragon boat ornaments and trying dragon boat paddling.
