Urumqi-Yuli Expressway under construction in NW China's Xinjiang

An aerial drone panoramic photo taken on Aug. 19, 2025 shows the Urumqi-Yuli Expressway under construction tunneling through the Tianshan Mountains in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The 319.7-km-long Urumqi-Yuli Expressway, which runs from the regional capital of Urumqi in northern Xinjiang to Yuli County in southern Xinjiang, is expected to get ready for traffic by the end of this year.
