Urumqi-Yuli Expressway under construction in NW China's Xinjiang

A drone photo taken on Aug. 19, 2025 shows a section of the Urumqi-Yuli Expressway under construction in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The 319.7-km-long Urumqi-Yuli Expressway, which runs from the regional capital of Urumqi in northern Xinjiang to Yuli County in southern Xinjiang, is expected to get ready for traffic by the end of this year.
