Erenhot Port in China's Inner Mongolia handles over 25,000 China-Europe freight trains

Staff members conduct train reception operations for China-Europe freight trains at Erenhot Port in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, June 24, 2026. As the sole transit port for the "middle corridor" of the China-Europe freight train network, Erenhot currently operates 75 routes connecting over 70 stations across more than 10 countries, including Germany and Poland.
Since the launch of China-Europe freight train services through the port in 2013, Erenhot has handled over 25,000 China-Europe freight trains as of mid-June this year. (Xinhua/Li Zhipeng)
