Erenhot Port in China's Inner Mongolia handles over 25,000 China-Europe freight trains

A China-Europe freight train runs through the border gate at Erenhot Port in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, June 24, 2026. As the sole transit port for the "middle corridor" of the China-Europe freight train network, Erenhot currently operates 75 routes connecting over 70 stations across more than 10 countries, including Germany and Poland.
Since the launch of China-Europe freight train services through the port in 2013, Erenhot has handled over 25,000 China-Europe freight trains as of mid-June this year. (Xinhua/Li Zhipeng)
