Vineyards change lives of villagers in SW China's Tibet
Grape plantation and wine-making have changed the lives of villagers in Mangkam county of Chamdo prefecture in southwest China's Tibet autonomous region. Since 2010, the local government has encouraged villagers to plant grapes. After years of mechanized operation and standardized production management, now Mangkam has cultivated 780 hectares of grape farms with an annual production reaches 7,200 tonnes. So far, 9,210 villagers have been living on grape plantation.
