Cui Yuying addresses seminar on human rights governance

Cui Yuying, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and vice minister of the State Council Information Office, delivered a keynote speech at a seminar titled "Building A Community of Shared Future for Mankind and Global Human Rights Governance" in Tianjin on June 8.

Cui, who is also the vice president of China Society for Human Rights Studies, stressed that the vision of creating a "community of shared future for mankind," which was put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping, charted the course for the development of human rights theories. She added that China has been and will continue practicing the vision with solid steps.

Cui also called for human rights theory researchers to carry out studies under the guidance of this vision and promote its significance in guiding global human rights governance.

Nearly 50 experts and scholars from Chinese universities and human rights organizations attended the seminar and carried out in-depth discussions on five topics centering on the community of shared future for mankind and human rights theories.

"Building a community of shared future for mankind" has become an important topic in international human rights discourse, and has been included into the resolutions of the U.N., the U.N. Security Council and the U.N. Human Rights Council.
