Unmanned rice harvesters are following preplanned routes at a farm operated by Beidahuang Group in northeastern China's Heilongjiang province. Guided by the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, the machines can autonomously carry out harvesting, threshing, and straw chopping, while farmers can also control operations remotely with a tap on a screen.
