China-South Asia trade hits new highs

Trade between China and South Asian countries continues to reach new milestones. In 2025, bilateral trade surpassed US$200 billion for the first time, up 10.7% year on year. Momentum remained strong in the first four months of 2026, with trade growing 15.8% year on year, said Vice Commerce Minister Yan Dong at a Friday press conference.
