China strengthens global cooperation in cultural heritage conservation during 2021-2025

​During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), China has strengthened cooperation in cultural heritage and carried out cultural relics conservation and restoration projects with foreign partners, said Rao Quan, vice minister of culture and tourism and administrator of the National Cultural Heritage Administration, at a press conference Wednesday.

​By the end of 2024, China had 7,046 registered museums ― averaging one for every 200,000 people ― with annual visits nearing 1.5 billion. Of these, 6,444 offered free admission, accounting for over 91%.
