  • China sees 440 million metric tons of emission allowances traded by 2023

    From the inception of China's carbon trading market in July 2021, the country's cumulative transactions of emission allowances had reached 440 million metric tons by the end of last year, totaling about 24.9 billion yuan (US$3.46 billion), said Zhao Yingmin, vice minister of ecology and environment, at a press conference Monday.
