  • Trips during Chinese New Year to double from 2022

    Nearly 2.1 billion trips are estimated to be made during the upcoming Chinese New Year travel rush (Jan. 7-Feb. 15), up 99.5% from the same period last year, reaching 70.3% of the number in 2019, according to the Ministry of Transport.

    ​China's civil airlines have scheduled an average of 11,000 passenger flights per day during the upcoming Chinese New Year travel rush (Jan. 7 – Feb. 15), following the country's recent adjustment of epidemic countermeasures. The flights are about 73% of the 2019 level, an official announced at a press conference Friday.
