China strengthens protection of historical, cultural heritage
China is strengthening the protection of historical and cultural sites, according to a press conference Wednesday. The country lists 137 historical and cultural cities under national protection, 312 national historical and cultural towns, 970 historical and cultural neighborhoods, and 42,700 historical buildings.
