China-Africa economic and trade cooperation prospers despite COVID-19

China and Africa have shown the world how a bilateral relationship can continue to thrive despite the pandemic. In the first seven months of 2021, their bilateral trade grew 40.5% year on year to US$139.1 billion, hitting a record high.

Trade between China and Africa rose 40.5 percent year on year to 139.1 billion U.S. dollars in the first seven months of the year, Chinese Vice Commerce Minister Qian Keming said Friday.
