Minister: China to keep up int'l cooperation on semiconductors

R&D spending in China estimated to be 2.4 trillion yuan in 2020

China's R&D expenditure jumped from 1.42 trillion yuan in 2015 to an estimated 2.4 trillion yuan in 2020, and its R&D intensity reached about 2.4% last year, said Wang Zhigang, minister of science and technology, at an SCIO briefing on Friday.
