Migrant workers take dedicated trains to busy farmlands for rice seedlings in Heilongjiang

The Sanjiang Plain in Heilongjiang Province is a leading grain-producing area in China. Workers are needed there during the transplanting season for rice seedlings.
Accordingly, railway operators in the region arrange dedicated trains to bring migrant workers from Harbin, Suihua, and surrounding areas to the Sanjiang Plain. These dedicated trains have transported more than 1.9 million passengers since they were inaugurated in 2000.
