The China Quyi Artists Association, an organization focused on China's folk artists, and the China Photographers Association on Tuesday convened their national representative sessions.

Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the opening ceremony of the sessions and delivered remarks there.

The sessions stressed the importance of bolstering confidence in and raising awareness of Chinese culture, and the need to advance the high-quality development of the Chinese folk art and photography sectors through new creations and achievements.

Representatives attending the sessions said that folk artists and photographers should keep pace with the times, stand with the people, and elevate the quality of their works. They should also uphold fundamental principles while breaking new ground, and nurture high-caliber talent to inject new momentum into their sectors.
