Premier Li visits rural family in Tibet

Premier Li Keqiang visited a village in Linzhi on July 25, the first stop of his inspection tour to southwest China's Tibet autonomous region.

As part of the local government's anti-poverty efforts, residents were relocated here from poverty-stricken areas.

At villager Gongsang's home, the Premier inquired about their income, healthcare and children's education.

Gong, who moved from Motuo county where road conditions are bad, said his family's annual income has reached 150,000 yuan, mainly from farming, land transfer and tourism, while healthcare and children's education are guaranteed.

Now, 90 percent of the 72 households in his village are earning as much as his family, he told Premier Li.

Premier Li said he was pleased to see that residents living in high altitude area had got rid of poverty through relocation. He wished them more wealth and blessed them in Tibetan.
