SCIO organizes media trip to Palace Museum

The State Council Information Office and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism held a media tour in Beijing on Friday, inviting journalists from foreign media outlets to visit the Palace Museum and learn about its cultural relic conservation and restoration work. 

The journalists visited the Gallery of Clocks, and restoration rooms for mechanical objects, inlaid artifacts, and paintings and calligraphy at the Heritage Conservation and Restoration Department of the Palace Museum. They engaged in discussions with conservators, experts and officials, and learned about traditional painting and calligraphy techniques.

Around 30 journalists from 18 foreign media outlets participated in the event.
