On the first days of the tour, journalists visited historical sites of the CPC in Yan'an, northwestern China's Shaanxi province, and learned about the city's history and culture, economic development, ecological conservation work, and rural vitalization efforts.

They attended a press meeting at China Executive Leadership Academy in Yan'an to learn about the education and training of CPC officials. They also met with local villagers to gain a firsthand knowledge of how they inherited the spirit of Nanniwan farming for self-reliance and strived for better lives.

The second leg of the tour on Wednesday brought them to another old revolutionary base, Xibaipo in northern China's Hebei province.

The activities were organized for foreign media to learn about the history of the CPC and the spirits of Chinese communists, and lasted from May 9 to 12.
