China's imports from ASEAN, Africa, Latin America post double-digit growth

China's imports from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Africa, Latin America rose 20.3%, 14.2%, and 21% year on year, respectively, in the first eight months of 2026, an official from the National Bureau of Statistics said Tuesday. China has continued to expand opening up and promote imports through measures including major international expos and zero-tariff treatment on imports from all African countries with which it has diplomatic relations, thereby creating favorable conditions for quality products from around the world to enter the Chinese market.
