China aims to expand sports industry to over 7 trillion yuan by 2030

China aims to expand its sports industry to a size of over 7 trillion yuan (US$1.04 trillion) by 2030, up from 3.84 trillion yuan in 2024, as the country seeks to unlock the potential of sports consumption and make greater use of sports to boost domestic demand during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030).
