China's central SOEs sustain annual R&D input above 1 trillion yuan for 4 years

China's centrally administered state-owned enterprises have been continuously strengthening scientific and technological innovation, with research and development spending remaining above 1 trillion yuan (US$143.99 billion) for four consecutive years, said Pang Xiaogang, vice chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, at a press conference Wednesday.
