At invitation from the State Council Information Office of China (SCIO), officials from Hunan province will brief the media about their efforts toward Hunan's rise in central China as the province embarks on a new journey. They include:

Du Jiahao, secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Hunan Provincial Committee and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress;

Xu Dazhe, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan province.

An exhibition on Hunan province will be held in the press conference hall.
