Around 4.73 billion trips were made during China's 40-day Spring Festival travel rush, which lasted from Jan. 7 to Feb. 15 this year. Nearly 1.6 billion trips were made via the public transportation system, the highest level since 2020 and recording a year-on-year increase of 50.5%, according to official data.
