Guo Weimin (郭卫民) is the vice minister of the State Council Information Office of China (SCIO).

Guo was born in Shanghai in October 1958. He began his first job in Shanghai in 1976 and joined the Communist Party of China in October 1980. He graduated from Renmin University with a master's degree in law in 1989.

He served in the People's Liberation Army from 1976 to 1981 before working at the Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau until August 1982. He worked at the National People's Congress Foreign Affairs Committee from 1989 to 1996. He has worked at the SCIO since 1996, with a stint in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from 1998 to 2001. He was the spokesperson of the SCIO from 2012 to 2015.

He has been the vice minister of the SCIO since June 2015.
