Chinese Premier Li Qiang will attend the general debate of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York from Sept. 22 to 26, a foreign ministry spokesperson announced on Friday.

While in New York, Li will also attend events held by China, including the high-level meeting on the Global Development Initiative, and meet with UN Secretary-General and leaders of relevant countries, the spokesperson said.
