On Sept. 21, the State Council Information Office (SCIO) held a Mid-Autumn Festival reception at the Summer Palace in Beijing. The participants included foreign journalists in China and spokespersons from departments of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the State Council, and other central institutions.

Gao Dawei, director general of the Beijing Municipal Forestry and Parks Bureau, gave a lecture on the role of the Summer Palace in facilitating cultural exchanges.

The participants visited Dehe Yuan, where they enjoyed performances of Chinese musical instruments, made intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, and engaged in lively discussions.
