The State Council Information Office (SCIO) organized a media trip to Shanghai from April 13 to 14, inviting nearly 70 journalists to report on the city's progress in expanding high-standard opening-up. The delegation included reporters from the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Sweden, Australia, Brazil, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Indonesia, among other countries.

A press briefing was held Monday in Shanghai, where Wu Wei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and executive vice mayor, briefed the media and answered questions.
