The State Council Information Office (SCIO) held a Mid-Autumn Festival reception at Beihai Park in Beijing on Sept. 6, inviting more than 50 guests, including China-based foreign journalists and Chinese spokespersons, to celebrate the upcoming traditional Chinese festival. 

During the event, Kang Zhen, vice president of Beijing Normal University, gave a lecture on the culture behind the festival. Guests participated in traditional cultural activities including inscription rubbing and lantern making, and engaged in lively discussions.
