China to add 500,000 physicians and 900,000 nurses by 2030

By 2030, China aims to have 5 million licensed physicians (excluding assistant physicians) and 7 million registered nurses, an increase of over 500,000 physicians and over 900,000 nurses compared with 2025, the minister of the National Health Commission said at a Monday briefing.
