In 2024, China's government departments handled 8,783 suggestions submitted by deputies (95.1% of all submitted) to the National People's Congress, and 4,813 proposals (96.1%) from members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a spokesperson of the State Council Information Office told a press briefing Friday.
