During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), China's manufacturing sector made steady progress in its green transition, with the number of national-level green factories reaching 8,336. By 2025, their output accounted for 22% of the total output value of manufacturing enterprises above designated size, up from 9% five years earlier, said Xin Guobin, vice minister of industry and information technology at a Wednesday press conference.
