In the first half of 2026, tax and fee cuts as well as tax refunds under the current major policies supporting scientific and technological innovation and the development of the manufacturing sector totaled 1.91 trillion yuan (US$ 267.4 billion), said Wang Shiyu, chief auditor of the State Taxation Administration, at a press conference Tuesday.
